Local and Natural Since 2004


Chef W. Scott Lee and his wife Bridget own and operate Kennebunkport's popular Bandaloop restaurant. The opportunity arose to open his own restaurant in 2004, his dream since he began working in kitchens at the age of 14. His natural abilities and incomparable work ethic led him to achieve a chef's position in an upscale Rehobeth Beach, Delaware restaurant at the age of 17. He went on to graduate from the culinary school of Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island in 1990. Scott has worked in many areas of the country from Delaware, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington, and Montana before coming to Maine. He moved to Kennebunkport with his wife Bridget and 2 children, to open and help create  On the Marsh restaurant, where he stayed for 4 years as executive chef and then general manager before starting  Bandaloop.

He enjoyed learning the local flavors and favorites of each area he's lived. He loves to incorporate these local, fresh foods to create exotic wordly flavors and textures, showcasing the natural tastes of the food without pretense.
